Mobility Scooter Insurance

What is mobility scooter and electric wheelchair recovery service?

For customers that select our 'Breakdown Recovery' optional extra, as part of their Mobility Insurance policy.

Recovery Location

The recovery service is only available in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. The recovery service is not included in the Worldwide element of the insurance policy.

Home Recovery

You must be within 20 miles of your home to use the recovery service.

Holiday recovery in UK and Channel Islands to your accommodation or vehicle within 20 miles.

Battery Cover

There is a call-out/recovery limit of 4 occasions for a flat battery.  For other reasons, including punctures and mechanical breakdowns, there is a limit of 5 call-outs.

Taxi Provision

The policy will also allow the provision of a taxi if the policyholder is unable to transfer into the attending recovery vehicle.
