Mobility Scooter Insurance

Is insurance needed for my mobility scooter?

At present, it is not a legal requirement to have insurance for your mobility scooter. 

However, the Department for Transport states: "it is strongly advised that people take out insurance to cover personal safety, other people’s safety and the value of the vehicle."

DisabledMotoring.org advise "Although insurance for mobility scooters or powerchairs is not a legal requirement, it is highly recommended."
