FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT
Mobility Scooter Insurance
Is a licence required to ride on the road with a mobility scooter?
You do not need to take a test or have a license to ride a mobility scooter, however, it is a legal requirement that only a disabled person can ride a Class 2 or 3 scooter. Although you don’t have to be registered as disabled, your disability must be an injury or medical condition that causes difficulty walking or a complete inability to walk.
