What does moratorium mean?

A moratorium is an authorised waiting or suspension period, this means that you have to wait a certain period of time before you can make any claims on your policy, and any claims that do arise within the moratorium period are unfortunately not covered, even after the moratorium ends. The moratorium is intended to prevent any fraudulent claims, please refer to your policy wording or certificate to find out the duration of the moratorium on your policy.
