What does storage insurance cover?
Storage insurance policies provides cover for loss or damage from the following perils to your storage contents:
- 1. Fire, lightning, explosion, or earthquake
- 2. Aircraft and other flying devices, or items dropped from them
- 3. Storm, flood, or weight of snow
- 4. Escape of water or other liquids from fixed water tanks, apparatus, or pipes (Containers Not included)
- 5. Theft or attempted theft where entry or exit was by forcible and violent means
- 6. Collision by any aircraft, vehicle, or animal
- 7. Any person taking part in a riot, violent disorder, strike, labour disturbance, civil commotion, or acting maliciously
- 8. Falling trees, telegraph poles or lamp posts
- 9. Moths, insects or vermin from a source outside of the premises
- 10. Subsidence, collapse or partial collapse of the storage facilities building
- 11. Smoke
