What do I need in the event of a claim?

If you need to make a Storage Insurance claim, please make sure you have the following before calling..

Documentation:

Photos/video of damaged items (before and after if possible)
Receipts, invoices, or proof of purchase for valuable items
Inventory list of stored items with estimated values
Police report (if theft or vandalism occurred)

Policy Information:

Your insurance policy number and contact details
Copy of your storage rental agreement

Immediate Actions:

Report the claim as soon as possible
Don't dispose of damaged items until the adjuster inspects them
Keep all communication records with the storage facility

Depending on the claim you may be required to provide additional information.

Key Tip: Take photos of your stored items when you first move them in - this makes claims much easier to process later.
