No but most facilities request you have an insurance policy. Although not compulsory, it is recommended that you cover your items. Self-storage companies will do their best to keep your belongings safe and protected, but they can’t offer an absolute guarantee; for example, if there’s extreme weather they can’t guarantee that it will not cause flooding.
